Composite: The Exterior of the Church of the Holy Sepulcher in
Jerusalem's Armenian Quarter.
The original church was built in the 4th Century by the Emperor Constantine in
honor of his
mother Queen Helena as a shrine over the place of the crucifixion and
resurrection. It has been
torn down and rebuilt over the centuries. Visible in the image is the Cardo,
or main entrance from the market place.
